Noise Monitoring

ASI provides two types of noise monitoring when conducting a noise survey for our clients.

Conduct an area monitoring using sound level meter to map the facility and determine who needs personal monitoring.
Develop a noise map of the facility.
We determine who needs personal noise monitoring using a sound level meter.
Attach a noise dosimeter to the employee during their work shift.
Identify level of noise the employee is exposed (Time Weighted Average Noise Exposure).
Calculate Time Weighted Average to determine need for Hearing Conservation Program.

Air Monitoring

ASI Air monitoring will be conducted on approximately 6 - 12 employees who are performing normal operations for an eight-hour shift.

We determine the particulate sampling needed.
The NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) Methods 7300 and 0500 will be used to collect air samples for chemical materials.
Air samples will be collected as long-term personal breathing zones.
Attach a noise dosimeter to the employee during their work shift.
An American Industrial Hygiene Association accredited analytical Lab will be use to obtain air samples.
